veneer of lies

i am yours.
save me.

what do you do when you’re stuck between life as you know it and life that was never taught nor recorded in the history of mankind? what are people to do should they tire of the life they’ve ever known? it’s a huge gamble the way i see it, for who is 100% certain that heaven and hell exist or don’t exist? who knows if we’re all simply annihilated like wasted souls toiling through this hopelessly despicable world only to be discarded as a one nighter? is this all we’ve become? a three second orgasm? so then, how is a reasonable human being to gamble their way to death; to the unknown? are we to succumb and default to pascal’s wager? but can anyone with the intention of mere fear of the unknown, truly become a believer? it’s really unfair to be tossed into this world completely devoid of the fundamentals. what can be more fundamental than knowing what happens post-mortem? how are we to know what to live for and where our hope lies? many speak of defeating the status quo, but can it really be defeated in life as we know it? but if we are so fortunate to grasp the knowledge of the unknown, and proceed to the other side, can the status quo still be abandoned? that very knowledge would bring us back to the status quo in my humble opinion, and the known unknown would shamelessly become, “life as we know it.”

in that case, i am forced to live in ignorance of the unknown; forced to live in this cruel and very boring world until i am once again forced to bid this cruel and very boring world adieu.

human beings are the hopeless of all creatures.
